Sausage Rolls with a Twist
- Sausage 2 lge
- French's mustard 2 tsp
- Sesame Seeds 1 tbs
- Egg 1 sm
- Ready made puff pastry 1 pce
- Vegetable oil 2 tbs
- Sliced Edam cheese 2 pce
Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius degrees.
Take a non-stick frying pan add in 2 tbs of vegetable oil and start frying off the sausages until all sides are evenly brown.
Roll out the puff pastry spread 2 tsp of French's mustard evenly or you can also use ketchup. Add the sliced cheese to the edge of the pastry. Place the two large fried sausages over the cheese and start rolling until you have about 3 fold overs done. Cut the excess pastry off and repeat the process.
Take a baking paper-lined baking tray. Cut the sausage rolls into either small, medium, or large pieces depending on your liking. Place them on the baking paper standing upwards. Brush them with whipped egg wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Place them in the oven for approximately 6 minutes or until they're golden brown.
